General Contracting

Full design and delivery, from foundations through custom framing, with one contractor accountable for the whole project. We self-perform the trades.

One Contractor Accountable for the Whole Project

General contracting covers a project from the ground up, foundations through framing and finish, and it includes managing everything that has to happen in between and in the right order.

Construction management is the part that is easy to underestimate. Trades depend on each other, materials arrive on their own schedule, inspections have to happen at defined points, and a delay in one place moves everything behind it. Managing that sequence is the difference between a project that finishes and a project that stalls.

It also means one party is accountable. When a project is split across several companies that do not answer to each other, problems land in the gaps between them, and the property owner is the one holding the gap. We self-perform our trades, which removes most of those gaps entirely.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does general contracting include?

Full design and delivery of a construction project, from foundations through custom framing and finish work, together with the construction management that keeps the sequence in order.

What is the difference between general contracting and remodeling?

They share the same trades. General contracting covers the structure as a whole, including new construction, additions, and full rebuilds. Remodeling is the custom side, changing and improving a building that is already there.

Do you subcontract the trades?

No. We self-perform roofing, siding, gutters, masonry, decks, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, flooring, painting, trim carpentry, cabinetry, countertops, framing, concrete, windows and doors, insulation, and drywall.

Do you work on commercial projects?

Yes. We work on residential and commercial property throughout Northeast Arkansas, and have done so since 1984.

Can you take on a project another contractor started?

It depends on what was built and what condition it is in. That starts with an inspection, because taking responsibility for work performed by someone else requires knowing exactly what is there.

Do you handle design as well as construction?

Yes. Handling both is what allows the design to reflect what the structure and the code actually require, rather than being adjusted after construction is underway.
