Framing in Northeast Arkansas

Framing is the structure. Every trade after it inherits whatever it was given.

What Framing Covers

Framing accuracy compounds. Walls that are out of plumb, floors that are out of level, and openings that are out of square do not stay a framing problem. They become a drywall problem, then a trim problem, then a cabinet problem, and every trade downstream absorbs time correcting them.

Structural framing is also where load path lives. Headers, bearing walls, and point loads have to carry down through the structure to something capable of receiving them, and a load path interrupted by a remodel is a structural condition regardless of how long it has stood.

In restoration, framing is where thermal and moisture damage is evaluated. Material that has burned or stayed wet is assessed structurally rather than cosmetically.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can a load-bearing wall be removed?

Often, with a properly sized header and a load path carried down to adequate bearing. What cannot happen is removing it and hoping. That is a structural design question answered before demolition.

Why does framing accuracy matter so much?

Because everything after it inherits the result. Out-of-plumb walls and out-of-level floors become drywall, trim, and cabinet problems, and every trade downstream spends time correcting them.

How is fire-damaged framing evaluated?

Structurally rather than cosmetically. Heat can compromise framing that has not burned through, so the assessment is about remaining capacity, not appearance.

Can water-damaged framing be dried and kept?

Sometimes, depending on how long it was wet and what it is. That is a readings and inspection question, not an assumption, and material that cannot be dried within a reasonable period comes out.

Do you frame additions into existing structures?

Yes, including tying new framing into existing construction, which is usually the harder part of an addition.

Do you self-perform framing?

Yes. It is one of the trades our own crews perform.
