Most foundation problems are water problems that have been running long enough to move the structure. We work on both ends of that.
Soil that takes on water expands. Soil that dries out contracts. A foundation sitting on soil that keeps doing both is being pushed and released repeatedly, and eventually the structure records it as cracking, settling, or movement.
That is why foundation work and drainage work belong in the same category. Repairing a foundation while leaving the water that moved it is a repair with a schedule attached. The water is still there and the same forces are still working on the structure.
Drainage is the part that gets treated as landscaping. Where water goes when it leaves a roof or crosses a lot is a structural question, and it is generally far cheaper to solve there than at the foundation.
