Installation matters as much as fabrication. Cabinets set on out-of-level floors against out-of-plumb walls require shimming and scribing, and doors and drawers reveal immediately when that was skipped.

What is the difference between custom and stock cabinetry?
Custom is built to the room. Stock is built to fixed sizes and the room accommodates it with fillers and dead corners. The difference shows up at the edges, and you live with it for a long time.
Can existing cabinets be refinished instead of replaced?
Yes, where the boxes are structurally sound and the layout still works. Refinishing solves a finish problem. It does not solve a layout problem.

Yes. Layout, cabinet configuration, and storage type are decided for how you use the space rather than selected from available sizes.
How long does custom cabinetry take?
Longer than ordering stock, because it is fabricated for your room. That timeline is established up front and coordinated with the rest of the project schedule.

Case by case. Installation quality depends partly on how the cabinets were built, so we look at what is being installed first.
